Position Overview
The Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing and executing Amazon's social media strategy to enhance brand awareness and improve marketing efforts. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to create engaging content, analyze performance metrics, and foster relationships with social media influencers to broaden our reach.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to increase brand awareness and engagement across all platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- Create, curate, and manage published content (images, video, written) across social channels.
- Oversee scaling the brand's social media presence by developing community engagement tactics and responding to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Analyze the performance of social media campaigns using various analytics tools, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design, and strategy to stay ahead of industry changes.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to align social media initiatives with overall marketing strategy and company objectives.
- Engage with influencers and brand advocates to build partnerships and drive co-created campaigns.
- Stay informed about industry news and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for Amazon's advancement in the social sphere.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in social media management or digital marketing, with a demonstrated history of successful social media campaigns.
- Expert knowledge of social media platforms and their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios.
- Exceptional writing, typing, and communication skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to generate creative ideas and a strong visual aesthetic for social media content.
- Experience with social media analytics and tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Sprout Social) to gauge performance and drive improvements.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to multitask amidst various deadlines.
